Leaf and Lush is a UK community for people who love their gardens and want to share, learn and grow with others who feel the same. No gimmicks. No chemicals. No stock advice you could find anywhere.
Why we're here
Gardening deserved better.
The best gardening happens between neighbours. A cutting passed over the fence. A question asked at the allotment. Someone lending a hand with the heavy job.
We built the online version of that. A place to trade plants, get honest answers, and plan something better for the year ahead. Everything free where it can be. Nothing pushed at you where it can't.
What we stand for
Three commitments we don't move on.
Organic-only
Every piece of advice we generate, every recommendation we make, is chemical-free. Companion planting, physical barriers, encouraging predators. Methods that have always worked, used properly.
Plant health
We publish DEFRA-aligned biosecurity guidelines for what can be shared and what must stay in the garden it grew in. A full document is coming; the principles are already in play.
UK-first
British climates, British gardens, British suppliers. Advice tuned for the conditions you actually live in, and marketplace listings you can collect without a flight.
The bigger picture
Less waste. More gardens.
A shocking amount of garden surplus ends up in the bin. Perfectly good plants that outgrew their pots, seeds nobody got round to sowing, tools sitting in sheds. Passing them on is better for gardens, wallets and the planet.
That's the whole idea.
